Founded in 1988, Tisbury Waterways Inc. is a grassroots citizen’s non-profit group that advocates locally for initiatives to improve and maintain the quality of water in Tisbury’s two estuaries, the Lagoon Pond and Lake Tashmoo, and the main Vineyard Haven Harbor.

 

Waquoit Bay Estuarine Research Reserve


Founded in 1988, the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is to promote science-based decision-making that leads to healthy coastal ecosystems.

 

Lagoon Pond Association

The Lagoon Pond Association (LPA) protects, preserves and enhances the character of Lagoon Pond and all immediate areas. LPA interests include water quality, the natural beauty and resources such as fishing, shell-fishing, recreation and safety.

The LPA also communicates and cooperates with governmental agencies and other civic and conservation groups that are concerned with the quality of resources and life on Martha’s Vineyard, especially as they pertain to Lagoon Pond.

Founded in 1988, Tisbury Waterways Inc. The Buzzards Bay Coalition is a membership-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration, protection, and sustainable use and enjoyment of our irreplaceable Bay and its watershed.

The Buzzards Bay Coalition works to improve the health of the Bay ecosystem for all through education, conservation, research, and advocacy.
